{{ 0:bogo_sprite.png?100x100}} **Bogolotl** (bahg-uh-laa-tl) is a Grass-type Pokémon introduced in v1.0 of [[:horizon mons|Horizon 'Mons]], and Wave 4 of [[:new dawn|New Dawn]]

**Bogolotl** was first conceptualised on December 5, 2022. It was publicly released on the [[:new dawn|New Dawn]] Minecraft Server on December 15, 2025.
===== Pokédex Entry =====
Bogolotl is an easy-going and king spirit. But don't mistake its carefree nature for laziness. It will spring into action if a Pokémon or trainer is in danger. Bogolotl is a resilient and strong-willed fighter. Its punches can shatter even the largest trees.
===== Evolution =====

evolves from [[:dawnian mudkip|Dawnian Mudkip]] at Level 30. **Bogolotl** does not evolve.

===== Appearance =====
Bogolotl resembles a large bipedal amphibian. It has large arms, a big belly, and large thighs that coalesce into smaller frog-like hind legs. It is primarily a pale olive color with a lighter underside. It has many pink petal-like protrusions coming out of the sides of its head. It dons a large lily pad hat as well, with more pink petal protrusions.

**Bogolotl** can spawn in Swamp biomes. It is a **Rare** spawn, and can spawn at level 31-67.

* Along with the [[:dawnian torchic|Dawnian Torchic]] and [[:dawnian treecko|Dawnian Treecko]] line, **Bogolotl** and [[:dawnian mudkip|Dawnian Mudkip]] are the oldest Pokemon in [[:horizon mons|Horizon 'Mons]] and [[:new dawn|New Dawn]], being conceived on December 5, 2022. **Bogolotl** is, however, the oldest of the trio.

=== Origin ===
Bogolotl, unlike a lot of Pokémon, doesn't really have a main inspiration built around it. It's really just based on axolotls and lily pads. Its personality, however, is based on the gentle giant trope. **Bogolotl** is however based on the concept of habitat displacement, as in lore, Hoennian Treecko were moved from their forest habitat to higher volcanic regions due to flooding.
