Queentana

Queentana (Kween-Tah-Nuh) is a Steel/Fairy-type Pokémon introduced in v1.0 of Horizon 'Mons, and Wave 3 of New Dawn

Queentana was first conceptualised on May 5, 2025. It was publicly released on the New Dawn Minecraft Server on August 13, 2025.

Legend has it that the first Queentana's were female Pawniard's who joined forces after mistreatment from their Kingambit. Even with a small army, Queentana formulates and executes brutal strategies for decisive victories. This Pokémon is often seen poaching Pawniard from rival Kingambit.

Queentana resembles a feminine humanoid. It has an overall red, black, and gray color scheme derived from Pawniard, as well as gold accents to connect it to the later evolutions of the Bisharp line. On its head is a crown resembling a large sword with handles. Its eyes are covered by said handles, and a large set of hair falls down to form a skirt/armor. On its arms, it wields blades much like Bisharp and Kingambit. Its feet are a sleek silver and resemble boots or heels.

Queentana can spawn in Bamboo Biomes. It is a Rare spawn, and can spawn at level 40-78.

Queentana is based on the concept of a queen chess piece. It is meant to be a rival to Kingambit and is influenced by matriarchs. As for more direct references, Queentana was designed with Malenia from Elden Ring in mind. Queentana was also designed to be more active than Kingambit, whereas Kingambit sits and shouts orders, Queentana takes a more active stance in a battle.

Queentana is a combination of the words queen and katana.
