Dawnian Meowth (me-OUTH) is a Psychic-type Pokémon introduced in v1.0 of Horizon 'Mons.

This breed of Meowth is consumed by avarice; it loves collecting shiny objects. It has been spotted in the wild playing a primitive form of cards with other Meowth. This Pokémon seems to come out the victor more often than not in any situation it's in.

Dawnian Meowth evolves into Perakkii at level 28.

Dawnian Meowth can spawn near ruins. It is a Common spawn, and can spawn at level 5-31.

* The Dawnian Meowth line was in development hell for the longest period of any Pokémon.

* Early on, the Dawnian Meowth line was meant to be Grass-type, with it having skin like paper. Its typing was changed later on, but these design details were not, as a way to call back to its original typing.

* Dawnian Meowth will be getting a redesign in the future.

Dawnian Meowth is mostly based on the Lucky Cat from Balatro. It also draws inspiration from luck, cards, and gambling as a whole. Its design is meant to reflect a jester motif in order to give off a mischievous appearance. Its skin is made to look like paper as a nod to its original Grass typing (see Trivia).

Meowth may be a combination of meow and its Japanese name. It may also involve mouth or wealth.
